The Friends of Music at St James’ was established in 2011 by a group of passionate supporters of the programme of music performed at Sydney’s historic St James’ Church. The aim of the Friends is to actively foster the performance of music at St James’.
We rely on the generous support of our Friends and Patrons to help us support the Choir and Music Programme at St James’ in performance. It is imperative we assist in the recording vast possibilities of established, new and unusual choral music.
We have many supporters enthusiastic to support the Friends, The Choir and the wider music programme at St James’.
It is our charter this year to raise at least $10,000 for the recording of a CD. The Choir has an international quality, and those who have heard performances have always lamented why there aren’t more recordings. There has been widespread acclaim for Warren Trevelyan-Jones’ Concert programming, and this deserves to be supported.
We want to help give The Choir the worldwide recognition it deserves, and we need your help to make this happen.
